My name is Ash (obviously) & I am a 39 year old (My birthday is on February 18th..) female Pagan with Wiccan tendencies. If it works for me, I use it. I have followed the Pagan religion since my early 20's.

All things happen for a reason, and the reason is to make us the best person we are supposed to be. All things good and bad have a place. If we never had any bad things happen (though, it sucks big-time while the bad things are happening...) to us, we would never realize what the good things were. It's up to us to make the most of each experience good or bad. That's why the Gods gave us freewill. This helps to shape the very core of us... Our souls.

I think the phrase "to each his own" fits the Pagan philosophy very nicely. I don't look down my nose with disapproval when someone tells me that their view of the Gods is different from my own. My worship of The Lord and Lady suits me very well. They are all that I need them to be. I do believe that other Pagan deities are just other aspects of the Lord and Lady. ...But that is my belief. It's not something that I thrust carelessly upon others. If someone wants to worship a potato chip as the ultimate embodiment of the Gods, who am I to say they are wrong?

I was basically raised agnostic, with a slight leaning towards Christianity. (i.e. we "observed" the Christian holidays) My Mom was raised Catholic, but thankfully never forced it on me... I was still quite surprised at the Christian way of thinking that I had even after I realized I was Pagan. It took quite a while to change the way I thought about people and the world in general. I find that I am a much better person than I was before I started my journey on the Pagan path.

An ye harm none, do what ye will...

Mind the Threefold Law you should,
Three times bad and three times good...

Don't get me wrong... Even though Christianity is not my path, if it's some one else's, Then it's not for me to say that it's "wrong". On the other hand, who are others to say to me that my path is "wrong" and theirs is the only right one? I believe that there is "no one true way".

We must all remember that it's up to each and everyone of us to accept each other's differences and grow from them. Blessed Be!

Ok, I'm done ranting about religion.... *sigh*

I have been with my husband, Pookey, for over forteen years (where has the time gone?) and have been married for all but one of those years. We were friends before we became romantically involved, so we have quite a lot in common. He is my soul mate, the Yin to my Yang, the type "B" personality to my type "A". ;) We fit together so well. My love for him continues to grow each day and it constantly amazes me how deep it goes. I am extremely blessed to have met him. Thank you Gods...

We currently live in Plano Texas, and have been here since October 2001. Texas (a.k.a. "Flatland") was one of the last places I ever expected to live, but you have to go where the work is sometimes, especially if it pays really well. ;)! We lived in South-Eastern New Hampshire (a.k.a. "New Hamster"), in the city of Dover until June 2001. We then lived in Kittery Maine for 4 months until Pookey was laid off, and we had to move to Texas because of his new job. I lived in (and around) South-Eastern New Hampshire for the first 33 years of my life... New Hampshire has lots of green lush forest with a few open spaces where we put the towns, as well as a gorgeous (though small) seacoast. It's definitely a perfect place for Pagans to live. I miss it a lot. *sigh*

We have two feline children, and one human son. :)!!

4 words... I LOVE TO READ!! Most of the books I read are Fantasy & Science Fiction. I got hooked on that genre when I was 16, and I haven't looked back since. Though I do read some Fiction, Romance or Pagan books occasionally. They add a little spice, but I rarely get sick of Fantasy or Sci-fi. :)!!

Being with Pookey, Morgan & the Cats, opposition to infant/child circumcision, the Wiccan religion, reading, listening to good music on my ipod, enjoying nature, gaming, bird feeding & watching, crafts, interior decorating, inside gardening, shopping (to Pookey's dismay), email correspondence, and playing on my Macintosh G4.
