If your Starbucks tumbler did not come with the “Create Your own Tumbler” cardstock template with all the pictures on it already in the cup, then you do not have a customizable tumbler. All the ones I’ve seen have a black base with this insert. Any of the seasonal tumblers with pre-printer inserts are not designed for customizing. If you can get it taken apart, you still may not be able to remove the insert. It isn’t designed for that.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I can’t figure out how to open my tumbler to switch the art. I am almost positive it opens. It is a Starbuck tumbler with a green rubber base and a green and black lid. The existing art is black and white coffee based words outlined. Am I crazy? Please help.

I know what you mean though - I made a christmas-themed tumbler (i’m an illustrator) insert for my wife, which later got water in it. When I went to change it out, the sogginess got stuck. I imagine you could leave it upside down and (the bottom) opened up, so it could dry over a couple days.

If anyone would like a tubler I’ve made, i could post them to print out. I did a scratchboard-style Christmas scene, a spring-theme with flowers for my wife, and my favorite, a Super Mario Bros themed insert for myself.

I should note that I agree with you that Andrea’s verdict in 2006 is the appropriate one. I thank God she is getting the help she needs. The public is not only protected from her as of this entry, but she is also protected from the public. (I guess we aren’t that far removed from the days of witch burnings and pitchfork chases of Frankenstein monsters.)

I also agree that the preacher helped informed her delusions, particularly the ones that rationalized the necessity of her children’s deaths and the idea she was a “bad mother” who was the indwelt presence of Satan. The preacher taught his disciples Satan controls everything they do, and that if they don’t repent after the multitude of his perpetual rebukes, they will eventually go crazy as a judgment from God. No wonder Andrea thought her time was running out and that she needed to act quickly to kill her children so they could be saved. She saw her advancing illness as proof of her mind becoming “broken beyond rememdy.” After that there would be no hope for her or her children.

Although Starbranch succcessfully treated Andrea in 1999, Starbranch had no control over the situation in 2001, as she wasn’t the treating physician. She insisted Rusty bring her in right away when he called her in March, 2001, but Rusty delayed for days, then found a different hospital closer to home to treat Andrea in. Starbranch also advised Rusty in 1999, not to pursue further poregnancies as it would guarantee future psychotic depression. Rusty didn’t listen.

Although Rusty wasn’t a doctor, he played one in his home with Andrea in the last week of Andrea’s freedom. He told Andrea’s brother in March, 2001 that he believed all depressed people needed was a “swift kick in the pants.” Rusty decided to apply this “therapy” to Andrea by weaning her off the child care support she was receiving from Rusty’s mother. He started to leaver her alone for an hour to force her to take some responsibility. This action was in violation to Saeed’s medical orders ensuring Andrea had someone watching her around the clock. Saeed was surprised when he learned Andrea was left alone. This fact was introduced into the books Are You Alone? and Breaking Point. Rusty had told Saeed his mother would watch Andrea when he was at work.

Saeed wasn’t sued for malpractice. There are two probable reasons for this according to legal analysts. Third party lawsuits for malpractice have close to zero success in Texas. The second is that Rusty would have incriminated himself with homicidal negligence by exposing the fact he left her alone contrary to Saeed’s instructions. It was a lose-lose case. Rusty could only come out ahead by doing the Christian thing and forgiving Saeed, thus covering a multitude of his own sins.
