The Life & Times Of The Shaffer Family

On March 17th, 1995 we bought our very first Mac, a Macintosh Performa 6115CD, and were wowed by it from the get go… Then two years later we bought a Motorola StarMax 3240 G3, the only Mac clone we’ve ever had. Followed by a Power Macintosh G4 (Quicksilver) in 2001, a computer we kept for the next seven years. In late 2002 we bought Pookey a 14" iBook G3 because we both had gotten wholeheartedly sick of sharing a computer. *grins* Then after Morgan became computer savvy, and started using our computers more, and more, we broke down and bought him a Mac Mini in 2006. Last year, in 2008, we bought two 24" 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMacs to replace my Power Macintosh G4, and Pookey’s iBook, and we couldn’t be more pleased with them. Macs have gotten better, and better, over the years, and that’s why we’ll always be a Household that uses Macs.
I’ve used a Windows based PC before, and I have to say that hands down, the Mac has always been superior, and easier to use… Our iMacs have Intel processors in them, so we were able to install Windows on them, but I rarely boot into it. There’s only one program I use when I run Windows on my Mac, every other type of program I can get a better version of it for the Mac. More than likely any program you could want comes free as part of the Mac OS X anyway.
