The Twilight Saga…
Mar 19th
Yes, I’m one of those Twilight Saga fans… I saw avatars here, and there, on deviantART saying how much they loved Edward Cullen (blah, blah, blah…), and at first I ignored them, thinking that this young adult series was just a flash in the pan like many others. After a while of seeing more, and more, avatars pop up I became intrigued, and decided to look into the series to see if it was worth all the hype I’d seen about it. Well, I ordered Twilight, and after reading the first few chapters I discovered it deserved every bit of the hype it was getting.
Stephenie Meyer is one of those rare authors whose writing transcends the age group that their books have been geared towards. Just like J.K. Rowling. I quickly ordered the other two books that were available at the time, and voraciously devoured them all. Thankfully, when I discovered the series, the fourth book was due to be released soon, so I didn’t have to wait too long for it.
I’ve read the entire series several times now, and have thoroughly enjoyed each time. I’ve even gotten Pookey to read it, and he thought it was a very good series as well. What I don’t understand is readers obsessing solely over Edward, when the books are actually about Edward, and Bella, as a couple, and how their relationship evolves. Taking one of them from the equation ruins the whole premise of the story that Stephenie weaves throughout the pages of the series. To me, you can’t have Edward without Bella, and vice versa.
Now, I cannot wait for Midnight Sun to be published… It’s basically Twilight from Edward’s perspective, and after getting to read the partial draft, I know for a fact that it will be just as good as the other four books. *sighs with impatient anticipation*
I highly recommend this whole series… Especially if you enjoy reading books from the fantasy genre.
Spring Has Sprung Early…
Mar 14th

Well… I’ve been feverishly doing a massive amount of Spring cleaning this past week. *tired sigh* The urge to clean began last Sunday (3/8), and is still going strong. lol. It started with me cleaning up the patio out back, and mushroomed crazily from there. Pookey has been a little alarmed, but is glad that the house is getting a thorough cleaning. It needed it. Bad. I also finally hung a lot of pictures that have needed to be hung for some time, and began making plans to do some painting. I am now officially sick of the off white walls our house has. Just thinking of all the things I still want to do makes me even more tired. lol.
Today we finally got around to putting together the computer desk (pictured above) we purchased from Staples a while ago, but unfortunately discovered we were missing several parts for the corner, and side, table. Thankfully, all the parts for the piece the computer goes on were there. We now have to wait for the manufacturer to mail the missing parts to us, and hopefully that won’t take too long. I’ve needed a new computer desk for quite some time, so it’ll be so sweet when we finally can put it all together.
Next weekend we plan on cleaning up our spare bedroom which serves as our library, and finally bringing in all the boxes of books that are still out in the garage. I’ve sorely missed not being able to read any of the books that are still in boxes, and it will be nice not to have to go rooting through boxes to find the missing book(s) in whatever series we’re reading. Not to mention having more free space in the garage. lol.
So much to do, and only so much time to do it… I’ll definitely be ready for a vacation, or a coma, when I’m done.

Mar 7th
I’ve made up some more custom Starbucks “Create Your Own Tumbler” inserts, and have a whole new category of them that turned out beautifully… I can’t seem to stop making them.
Help.
