Photoshop Resources…

Winged Unicorn

Been going crazy downloading resources (brushes, patterns, gradients, etc.) for my Photoshop Elements… It’s the program I’ve used to create all my custom Starbucks “Create Your Own Tumbler” inserts in, and all the other graphic work I do. I absolutely love the program, and love that you can add on resources to make it so much better. The brushes I’ve downloaded are so incredibly luscious, and I am having fun experimenting with them to find out what I can do with them.

The best places I’ve found to get them are:

If you know of any other great sites to get Photoshop resources please share the link… Thanks!

Gravatar…

Pookey showed me a really neat website today… Gravatar.

What is a gravatar? A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site?

Works like a charm…

A Cheer, And A Tangent…

Back To School!

Well… Morgan’s Spring vacation is finally over. Thank the Gods. I don’t remember getting so many days off when I was in school. It seems like there’s a student holiday at the drop of a hat here in Texas. *sighs a long suffering sigh*

One good thing about living in Texas is that we only have to deal with one, or two, snow days during the winter. All it has to do is snow an inch, and they cancel school. *snickers* Texas natives have no clue what a real snowfall is. If it snowed the amount of snow that has to fall to cancel school in NH (where I originally come from) here in Texas, they would probably think the world was coming to an end. It didn’t help that we had a real bastard for a superintendent of schools that would practically only cancel school if we had over a foot of snow. I kid you not.

I still fondly remember the blizzard of ’78 because we had a whole week off from school. I was 10, and me, and my brother, spent the whole day, during that week, outside playing in the mountains of snow that were everywhere. Close to where we lived there was a pile of snow that was over 2 stories high. It was such fun.

*looks up at the bottom two paragraphs, and shakes her head* What a tangent… Huh. Really weird considering the weather here feels like late Spring/early Summer did in NH. I’ve been enjoying having our windows, and doors, open after the temperature dips below 70 in the evenings. To me, there’s nothing like the smell of a well aired out house. Plus, by the time I close them before I go to bed the temperature in the house hovers around 68/70, and with the fan on recirculate it keeps the house cool until after 3 pm, so we’re saving on our cooling bills. Soon enough it won’t get cool enough at night to do that anymore, so I’m enjoying it while I can.
