A Sigh Of Relief…

Home The home buying process is moving forward nicely… The results of the lead paint test came back fine, and an appraiser has appraised the house for more than the amount of the mortgage we’re taking out on it. Sweet! That one lender who was bellyaching about the house and its value, and basically told us we wouldn’t be able to purchase it, has been removed from the running. Especially since all he did was bellyache, and didn’t take the initiative to have his own appraiser go look at the actual house before he said that. So, fuck him. We don’t need any added aggravation, as there is plenty to be had with this whole home buying process anyway. The company we’re now going with has its advantages as well. They’re a direct lender, not a go between company like the one we just dropped, so the whole process is moving along a lot more smoothly. We’re also spared the surprise roadblocks the other company threw in our way. I’m just so happy that things are back on track, and that we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have already bought the appliances we needed to buy for the house from Sears, and have scheduled the refrigerator & dishwasher to be installed a couple of days after we will close on the house, and take full custody of it. That way we’ll be all set to move in the next day. *happy sigh* I just cannot wait until we’re in our own home, and get to say goodbye to this damned apartment complex. If we knew then, what we know know, we would have done this years ago!
