Death To The Gecko…
After my two dark posts about Andrea Yates, here’s something much lighter:
Does anyone else hate this damned Geico gecko as much as I do? Especially since they started having him talk with that cheesy british accent. In fact, I basically hate almost every commercial Geico has, including those stupid cave men, and their new ads with "real Geico customers" with the various celebrities. I hate their ads so much I have vowed to never give Geico any of my business. Thank the Gods for my Tivo! I almost always pause, then fast forward, through these commercials. Otherwise, I think I’d go insane. Truly.
I suggest to Geico that they fire their ad agency, scrap all their stupid ad campaigns, and find a new agency with some talent. There are plenty of commercials I find entertaining, and clever. There are even commercials that I will actively watch because they are so well made. I know there are plenty people who like the Geico gecko, but these people probably have brains the size of a walnut. So, fuck them!
I’d love to see a commercial where the Geico gecko dies in some messy, horrible way… That’s one Geico commercial that I’d watch! Definitely!
