I finally got around to updating Morgan’s web page… I’ve been meaning to redo it for quite some time, as he had long since outgrown most of the graphics on the page. He’s more into Spiderman now, than Teletubbies, and his web page needed to reflect that fact. I only have the index page done, but at least I got a start on it. Better late, than never.

Well… The house has been inspected, passed with flying colors, and we are now waiting on the results of the lead paint test. Hopefully it will be fine. We are also trying to smooth over one of the inevitable bumps in the road that all home purchases seem to have… One of the three mortgage companies we’re working with is bellyaching about the home not being worth the amount the loan amounts to, and he say that will cause us problems with any lender when we try to close the deal. I understand his caution, but what is frustrating me the most is the fact that ALL he has been looking at is what other homes in the area have sold for, and hasn’t had an actual appraisor go look at the house. This home isn’t the same as all the other homes in the area, since it has a pool, as well as being in great condition. We have been informally told that the home is worth more than we are paying for it, told him this, and that FINALLY has him calling for a formal appraisal. So, now it looks like we’ll have to have the home appraised, then we can get this concern addressed, and move past it. *sigh*
I just want this all to be over, have the deal closed, so I can then begin to plan the move into our new home. Is that too much to ask for? I don’t think it is! I just wish everyone would move on this all a little faster.

LOL! I have always hated Bush. Hell, a monkey in a shitty diaper could do a better job than him! Or a fish that’s been dead for 3 days. Or a rabid dog. (You get the idea…) What amazes me is that he doesn’t realize how stupid he sounds when he criticizes terrorist, when he’s the biggest terrorist of them all! Bastard!

On Monday evening we put our bid in for the home we went to see earlier in the day, and today we heard that it has been accepted!!! Now, all we’re waiting on is the home inspection, and then we can move forward to the closing. It looks like the closing will be around mid September, and we plan to move in shortly afterward. We are both really excited about this, and can hardly wait for the day when we are in our very own home. Thankfully, the house is vacant, and everything has been freshly painted, so there isn’t anything standing in our way.
I just have to start packing everything, find someone to move us, etc. Then I will have to call all the utilities, and have them either turned on, or put in our name when the time comes. That will be shitloads of fun. Plus, DirecTv needs to come and install a dish, so I can continue my Tivo addiction. Then there’s all the fun I’m going to have getting home insurance quotes. *sigh* At least I didn’t have to look at 50 million homes to find the one I wanted, though I did look at over 100 of them online last weekend.

Received these from a friend, and couldn’t resist passing them on, as I feel they show how life really like when an average attached man goes out… Though I must say that I don’t pull this kind of shit with Pookey when he goes out without me simply because I trust him. I know he would never do any of the stuff that some married men do when they go out without their wives. My philosophy on this is: If you don’t want to stay true to the oaths you gave when you got married, then get a divorce. - AND - If you feel you can’t trust your husband when he goes out without you, then your marriage is in BIG trouble.
