Wow… Another year has finished, and a new one begins. Time sure does fly! Especially the older you get. Pookey & I stayed in, and have been watching the the Monty Python marathon on BBC America all evening, except for a brief time when we switched it to a local channel to see the ball in Time’s Square mark the beginning of the new year here in Texas. I’ve never been much of a New Year’s eve partyer, preferring to stay in, and do any drinking I want to do at home, though this year is mostly a dry one. We do have some Shiner Hefeweizen that I bought last night, so I think I’ll go get myself one. Back now. Aaaaaah… That’s better.
Besides, you risk your life if you drive at night in the DFW area, around the holidays, because of all the drunk drivers here. *sigh* It seems like Texas is 20-30 years behind New England in getting the idea through their thick skulls that drunk driving is BAD. There’s hardly a week that goes by that there isn’t a story about a crash a drunk caused, and last year there were 2, or 3, people that were so drunk that they ended up getting on one of the many highways around here going the wrong way. Either get a designated driver, take a cab, or stay the fuck home if you plan on getting intoxicated!!! It’s just common sense!!!
