The templates/inserts I offer are for the older 16 oz tumbler… Unfortunately Starbucks changed the size on their new 16 oz tumbler.

I am desperate for the Create Your Own Tumbler template for the 16 oz tumblers. After printing off a number of copies, I realize I had the wrong size – it was for the 12 oz. Thanks.

I just downloaded this template and I compared the size of this template to the insert in my Starbucks tumbler and the insert in the tumbler is larger by about 1/4 to 1/2 all the way around than your template so now I’m working in photoshop to make it big enough to match the original insert.

The template is for the large 16 oz Create Your Own Tumbler… This template, the image down sized, should fit the smaller 12 oz one. Color the printable part of the template black, and progressively make the image size smaller, printing them out with regular paper on a laser printer, until you hit upon the correct size for the 12 oz one. Make sure you constrain the proportions of the image as you make it smaller so it’s proportional. If you do this, and are successful, please let me know what the template size needs to be, and I’ll make the 12 oz template available for people to download here.

thank you so much for your instructions and the blank template! i was looking for a while and finally found your page. all i need to know is, how big are your tumblers? because i´m from germany and i think we have different sizes. here i can only by a 12 oz one.

i purchased this tumbler, and instead put in paper noxflakes that i made by had. i recently put a hot drink in it and the snowflakes got all wet and broke. they are now stuck in the tumbler at the top how do i take them out???????????

What you need to do is to select all of the white part of the template using the magic wand tool, and then do a “paste into” (found in the edit menu) to insert the picture you want to put on the template. For placing multiple pictures on the template there are two ways to do this:

1. Do what I suggested above, moving each picture into position manually using the move tool, as you fill up the template.

2. Make a separate graphic up, creating a collage of your pictures, then flatten the image, and selecting the entire graphic, and then do a “paste into” the template, then tweak the position of it.

i searched this online for awhile until i found this template. i was able to open it in photoshop, but is there anyway to add more than just one big picture. i’ve never used photoshop before hehe….

To download the tumbler template right click on the link, and choose the "save link as" option... Right now the template is only available as a psd file, which requires Adobe Photoshop, or their much cheaper Photoshop Elements (I highly recommend this program!) to open. I could save it as a .gif, but I think that the quality of the printed template would turn out poorly.

I finally got the gummed up color-ink-jet artwork out of my tumbler but it left residue that looks like crap. Any advice to get it out?

I’m trying thin plastic cardstock but no dice.

If your Starbucks tumbler did not come with the “Create Your own Tumbler” cardstock template with all the pictures on it already in the cup, then you do not have a customizable tumbler. All the ones I’ve seen have a black base with this insert. Any of the seasonal tumblers with pre-printer inserts are not designed for customizing. If you can get it taken apart, you still may not be able to remove the insert. It isn’t designed for that.

Help,

I can’t figure out how to open my tumbler to switch the art. I am almost positive it opens. It is a Starbuck tumbler with a green rubber base and a green and black lid. The existing art is black and white coffee based words outlined. Am I crazy? Please help.

I am really interested in finding awholesaler to buy tumblers, coffee mugs and sippy cups, that you can put a monogrammed insert in them….not having much luck without paying $10 or more dollars….Does anyone have a site or sites I can go to…Thanks

A good way to get the art out is to take off the bottom, and then slam it down. The paper scoots down (usually) to where you can pull it out.

I know what you mean though – I made a christmas-themed tumbler (i’m an illustrator) insert for my wife, which later got water in it. When I went to change it out, the sogginess got stuck. I imagine you could leave it upside down and (the bottom) opened up, so it could dry over a couple days.

If anyone would like a tubler I’ve made, i could post them to print out. I did a scratchboard-style Christmas scene, a spring-theme with flowers for my wife, and my favorite, a Super Mario Bros themed insert for myself.

I recommend when you cut the template, make a small tab on the bottom like the example given with the tumbler. This won’t be seen when you close the bottom lid AND allows you to easily remove the design when you are in the mood for a change.

Sorry I don’t know how you can remove the insert if it doesn’t have a tab already.

I’ve been making digital photo gallaries for friends, grandmas, and family with this cup on my scrapbook factory deluxe program. They are great. I don’t use the template, just set up my page to be 9.5″ x 6.8″ and I make sure that the pictures are angled in at the bottom. I print and lay the template that comes with the cup on top and cut. Everyone has liked them. But my 4 year old took the bottom off and the paper got wet on the one I made for myself. I tried everything…even tweezers and can’t get it out. Now it is a waste of $11 because the water made it ugly. Does anyone have a good idea how to get the paper out. I can show you
