Hello again!! It’s been a good couple of months for us. :)

A short while ago I put 4 new pictures up on Morgan’s picture page. Go take a look!

Pookey got a new job!! It’s with Net To Net Technologies and he started there on October 9th. He’s been with the company for 3 weeks now, and so far he really loves working there. The benefits are great, and once the new Corporate Headquarters is built they are talking about offering on site free daycare. That would be a great way for Morgan to regularly play with other children… and give me a day off too! Plus, the fact that we will probably have another child by then makes the whole idea of Morgan going to daycare a couple of times a week even more appealing. Besides, then he can see his daddy during the work day. Yeah, that’s the ticket… ;)

Speaking of another child… We finally started the ball rolling. I went to see a diabetic specialist on 9/27 about my PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. My diabetes is back again, but mild. It’s because I’ve gained back almost all the weight I lost (55+ pounds!! *sigh*) before finally getting pregnant. Though, Morgan was more than worth the weigh gain! I’m amazed at all the advances they’ve had on PCOS in the 3 years I’ve been out of the infertility loop. I started on Glucophage earlier this month after a very thorough check up and lots of blood work. So far, so good… So, maybe I’ll be pregnant soon. :) Think good thoughts for us!!

Morgan celebrated the 2nd anniversary of his birthday on October 26th!! Of all the birthday presents he received his favorite seems to be his new Kettrike Junior Tricycle. Many thanks to Grandma Brooks! He doesn’t know how to peddle it yet, but he still enjoys sitting on it for hours and pushing himself around the house. :) !

Morgan had his 2 year well child check up the day before his birthday, and we got to see how much he has grown in the 6 months since his last appointment. He now weighs 33 pounds and is 36 1/2″ tall. Pookey heard of a theory that if you take how tall a child is at 2 years of age and double it you will get an idea of how tall they will be when they’re adults. So it looks like Morgan will be around 6′ 1″, give or take an inch or two, when he’s full grown. :)

Morgan enjoyed the trip to the appointment, the wait in the reception area, but started to not like it when we were brought into an exam room and began to remove his clothes for the check up. He must have remembered a couple of visits ago when he last had shots. So he didn’t want anything to do with being weighed or measured. He finally settled down, after the nurse left and before the doctor came in, on Pookey’s lap. There he happily remained for most of the visit. He did have to get an unexpected immunization at the end, but it was over and done with so quickly that he didn’t have time to protest at all. It also helped that I held him in my arms when the nurse gave him the shot so I was right there when he needed to be comforted. Now he should be all set on immunizations until he’s 5 years old… Hopefully.

Well, that’s all for now. Take care, be well, and remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else…
